BigEasy Productions was set up by former ITV executives Tony Baines and Jim Raven. Between them they have a wealth of experience in programme making.
Jim is a former news and current affairs producer who set up the award winning Meridian Tonight and then became Director of News for United Broadcasting. He was also Managing Director of Granada Sport.
Tony has a solid background in sport production and documentaries. He’s worked with the BBC, Sky and ITV. Working with Jim the two were responsible for a production business within Granada that generated over £9m a year.
Since it was established in 2004 BigEasy has already attracted a significant number of commissions. These include:
In the Forest with Philippa Forrester – 6 part factual series for ITV
John Wilson’s Dream Fish – 15 part series for Discovery
Extreme Football – 22 part children’s game show for Five
Soccernight – weekly football magazine show for ITV Meridian
The Road to Hell – 3 part factual series for ITV
BigEasy is a member of PACT and has offices on the South Coast. The company has been developing strong links with Bournemouth University’s Media Department with a view to recruiting their best talent.
